Dave writes from his ocean-view home office in Maui Meadows, where he has the pleasure of viewing out of his window the ocean, Molokini Crater and the island of Kaho’olawe. Dave has always loved and greatly respects the Hawaiian people, the culture, the land, the sky and the sea. He continues to extensively study Hawaiian mythology and spirituality - as well as the Hawaiian language - or 'olelo.

Dave is an instrument and seaplane-rated licensed airplane pilot and has logged many hours of flight time over the Hawaiian Islands. He is also a US Coast Guard Merchant Marine Officer – Master (ship/boat Captain) and has more than 1,000 days at sea. Dave is a certified scuba diver with more than 1,000 dives - in Hawai'i, California and other locations around the world. He is also an avid paddler of six-man Hawaiian canoes.

Dave attended San Jose State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Real Estate Investment and Finance, with a minor in Aeronautical Science. He was on the Dean’s list for academic achievement. Dave owns and operates Maui Property Management & Sales, Inc. and Molokini Mortgage Corporation - both doing business in California and Hawai. He is also the founding owner of Maui Movie Productions.

Dave continues his education studying high-tech movie making. Dave is a Certified Producer with Akaku TV in Kahului, Maui. He completed all training on camera, audio, sound, lighting, editing and all aspects of the engineering room as acting Producer. He also completed multiple advanced editing classes for both Avid and Final Cut Pro/Studio 2. Dave has purchased production quality video recording equipment including Gates underwater housing. He has also purchased a new Mac Pro computer with high-speed processor, external RAID system and eight terabytes of memory, in order to operate the editing software Final Cut Studio 2. He is building a mini studio on his property, Mansion Shack Studios, and will be installing studio lighting in his swimming pool for underwater shooting.

Dave started writing his first screenplay “The Legend of Megalodon” in 1996 using a word processor, and finished it in June of 2005 using Final Draft software. Dave has begun an outline of the sequel. In 2007 Dave finished his next screenplay, a “short” film titled The Boy Paniolo. Dave is investigating putting together an investor Hui (partnership) to produce The Boy Paniolo. The movie would be filmed in Hawaii. He has also begun writing M50.

Dave is adapting the children’s fairy-tale novel "The Wishing Spiral," by author, artist, and actress Zariah, into screenplay format. Dave recently returned from Rome, Italy where he filmed multiple ancient Venus Goddess temples starring Zariah. He will next be filming mermaids in Maui and other locations. Dave attended the Maui Writer’s Conference 10 day retreat in Fiji in April of 2008. Dave’s writing was mentored by top Hollywood producers and writers. Dave continuing education includes attending Film School in San Francisco in June of 2008.
